Start to think about your own bubble tea menu? The first thing that people would consider is what kind of tea leaves should be used?

Most bubble tea drinks are made with black tea, green tea, oolong tea or light oolong tea.

  • Black Tea: Black tea is completely fermented tea. Assam Black Tea, Ceylon Black Tea and Earl Grey Black Tea are commonly used in the drink menu. Especially for mixing with milk tea.
  • Green Tea: Green tea is non-fermented tea. Most green tea mixed with fruit tea is Jasmine Green Tea. Jasmine green tea has the jasmine flower fragrance; also good with non-dairy creamer, and we would call it green milk tea.
  • Oolong Tea: Roasted oolong tea and light oolong tea belongs to oolong tea. It is a semi-fermented tea. Roasted oolong tea is commonly made as oolong milk tea.
  • Light Oolong Tea: It is light fermented tea. Normally used in fruit tea such as wintermelon tea or just in pure tea menu items.
